Saturday, July 3, 2010 Stations 56, 18, 58, and 36 were dispatched  for the report of a small Store fire in the area of 825 N West end Blvd. Asst. 56 arrived on scene to find that the mulch area on the side of the building was the source of the smoke coming from the store. The assignment was held at reduced speed to 56 apparatus and Squirt 18. Tower  18 was also allowed to come into the scene due to thier close proximity of the area when the assignment was held. Tower 18 arrived on scene first followed by Engine 56 closely behind. Tanker 56 and Squirt 18 arrived shortly there after. Tower 18's crew was sent inside to check for extension. Engine 56 and Squirt 18's crews extinguished the smoldering mulch fire.
